…improves patient care.
The DEC integrated behavioral system may be available at a local emergency department (ED). Patients who present to the ED in a behavioral or chemical dependency crisis have access to a licensed clinician who can determine the appropriate level of care. The DEC system provides advanced coordination of information by allowing immediate access to your patients assessment information. The patient may also be scheduled for additional follow up care through the use of the SchedulR.
…minimizes risk.
DEC licensed clinicians collaborate with ED physicians, nurses and staff in making the disposition determination for your patient. The DEC licensed clinician will also attempt to communicate with you regarding your patients care, when possible. Access to past crisis assessments done at other DEC sites is also possible through the DEC system, allowing the licensed clinician to view historical data that will assist in determining the patients disposition.
...coordinates with you.
When your patient is assessed at a DEC location, you can have immediate access to his or her assessment information via the DEC integrated behavioral system. With signed permission, you will be able to view your patients current and past assessments and will get complete information regarding your patients crisis.
