DEC Integrated Behavioral System

The DEC integrated behavioral system is a HIPAA-compliant, web-based application that is used to electronically collect, store and exchange clinical information.

This system allows for immediate, real time transfer of clinical information across the continuum of care between outpatient providers, inpatient facilities, partial hospitalization programs, day treatment programs. Practitioners at all levels will have immediate access to clinical information being sensitive to confidentiality needs and as allowed by law.

What data is part of the DEC integrated behavioral system?

  • Assessment

A record of a mental health assessment done at a facility that uses or has used the DEC integrated behavioral system

  • Medical Records

Information the DEC integrated behavioral system has on a person, including: encounters, assessments, follow up, referrals, and other clinical documents.

  • Referral

A clinical record sent from one care provider to another. It includes diagnosis and treatment information and may include patient history.

How can the information stored in the DEC Integrated Behavioral   System be electronically exchanged?

The patient signs a release of information at the time of the assessment. The signed release gives consent specific to each record type and site type. Practitioner's and programs will only have access to records that have been specifically released to them.  The patient has ultimate control over what records are released and to whom.

SchedulR

This is a virtual scheduling application that allows sites using the DEC integrated behavioral system to schedule urgent, emergent, and routine psychiatric, therapeutic, day treatment, chemical dependency assessment, etc appointments. Once a patient is scheduled via the SchedulR, the appointment information is immediately present at the practitioner’s office. This allows the assessors to schedule appointments regardless of the time of day.
